A bstract We study the temporal evolution of circuit complexity after local quench where two harmonic chains are suddenly joined, choosing initial state as reference state. discuss numerical results for entire chain and subsystem a block consecutive sites, obtained by exploiting Fisher information geometry covariance matrices. The qualitative behaviour evolutions depends on whether joining point is inside subsystem. revivals logarithmic growth observed during these discussed. When outside subsystem, corresponding entanglement entropy qualitatively similar.

We study free electrons on an infinite half-filled chain, starting in the ground state with a bond defect. We find a logarithmic increase of the entanglement entropy after the defect is removed, followed by a slow relaxation towards the value of the homogeneous chain.
